Atlanta Infectious Disease Consultants (AIDC) is an inpatient, consultative infectious disease practice serving the Atlanta and East Point, Georgia area. Dr. Ayo Joyce Drayton provides expert consultation for hospitalized patients at the direct request of their admitting physician.

Our practice focuses exclusively on in-hospital consultation, ensuring that patients with complex infections receive focused, specialist-level care while they are admitted. Follow-up visits for recently discharged patients are also available.

In-Hospital Consultation
Specialist-level evaluation and management of patients with infectious diseases while admitted to an affiliated hospital. Consultation is initiated by the patient's admitting physician.

Post-Discharge Follow-Up
Outpatient follow-up visits for patients who were seen by Dr. Drayton during a hospital stay. Continuity of care ensures your recovery is properly monitored after discharge.

Home Health Antimicrobial Management
Oversight and management of patients receiving intravenous or oral antimicrobials at home, ensuring safe and effective completion of therapy in a home health setting.

Infection Control Direction
Medical Director of Infection Control for Select Midtown Hospital and Select Regency Hospital of South Atlanta, providing institutional-level leadership on infection prevention.
